Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 91 by HusnaS

91. He Wants Her Back

While the voice recording played, Todd said, “I only thought it’s your voice that’s beautiful, but now I see that the owner of the voice is a goddess. Your friend sent this recording to me which makes me think of you all day and night.”

Her friend?

Heidi frowned, feeling repulsed.

As much as that recording confused her, it was undeniably her voice.

“RoseHills Hotel, remember?” Todd covered the distance between them and tried to touch her. “Why don’t we make this a reality? Everything you said about me in this voice note is true. I will make you feel so good, angel. Even better than your husband-”

“Smack!”

He hadn’t finished speaking when Heidi slapped him across the face, pushing his hand away.

“Be grateful I’m in a hurry, or I would have taught you a lesson. Uncouth maniacs like you shouldn’t be roaming freely among normal people.”

The guy rubbed his cheek as Heidi walked away and entered her car.

Licking his lips, a dangerous glint flashed in his eyes and he cackled. ”

Well, let’s hope we meet again, Candy.”

That Night.

Lucas stood on the balcony of his Villa, staring down at his phone, his eyes fixed on a particular contact.

He stood in that position for a long time, his finger hovering above that contact, seemingly lost in thinking that he didn’t notice the maid’s presence.

“Young Master, aren’t you going to eat dinner? It has been served since thirty minutes ago, and it is losing its warmth.”

Lucas dropped the phone in his pocket. “I’m not hungry.”

Mira turned around and left, sighing. ” Since the Young Madam left, he rarely eats. Whenever he does, he’ll only eat a little. Doesn’t he realize that he’s losing weight?”

Although the maid was speaking to herself, Lucas heard each of her words as they faded away. Looking down at himself, he touched his arms and abs. Was he losing weight?

His mind went to the past when he would always return home to a table full of delicious food.

Without caring about who made them and how they were made, he’d eat to his heart’s content, sometimes chasing Heidi away from the dining room because the sight of her irritated him.

Lucas let out a sigh and walked into the bedroom.

His legs took him to the closet. That tuxedo hung on a rack.

Reaching forward, his fingers grazed the intricate patterns, stopping at his initials also carved on the lapel.

Various emotions built up in his chest.

He left the closet and sat on the wide bed, his palm wandering on the left side of the bed which was Heidi’s spot.

He would take up a huge portion of the bed, while she was almost sleeping on the edge. Sometimes, without a blanket.

The memories rushed back like a dam, flooding his mind.

His mind was now clear and he could finally see. The void inside his heart opened up ever since the day she left.

The Villa felt empty too without Heidi around. His heart also.

‘He wants her back.’

The thought just came to his mind, and Lucas knew those were the words he’d been struggling to come to terms with.

He had to take Heidi back, but how?

The sound of his phone ringing disrupted his thoughts.

He answered it without glancing at the display name. Tracy cried from the other end. “Lucas, Honey! Please you have to save me. Zach Olsen has me locked up in his Villa. Heidi is planning something horrible for me!”

Heidi.

His heart jolted, hearing her name. Without thinking, Lucas grabbed his car keys and left the Villa.

He raced down the city and soon stopped at LuxVille Residential Area, in front of Zach’s Villa.

The gates were wide open just like the last time, and he parked his car at the vast swimming pool area.

At the same time, a taxi arrived and dropped someone off. It was as if Lucas was seeing her for the first time after many years. “Heidi.”

Even Heidi was shocked to see him. But not for long.

“What are you doing here?” Lucas walked up to her.

His usual stern expression was gone as well as the tone of command.

Heidi didn’t notice all that though. She replied, “I have the same question for you, Mr. Harrison.”

Hearing her address him formally, Lucas sighed. “Tracy is inside. She told me Zach Olsen is planning to harm her.”

“Is that so?” Folding her hands, Heidi raised a quizzical brow. “She also told you that I have a hand in it, I guess. What is she up to this time?”
