Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 89 by HusnaS

89. Won’t Find A Place To Hide Her Head

“I know, right.” Isla beamed and brought out her tablet. “Here, I have compiled a list of some models who are reaching out. We have Ms. Anderson to thank for that. She has posted about StriveStyle Co. on her social media accounts, and many fans are flooding into our social media page to have a look.”

“There have been some arguments among her fans who think this brand is below her level, but a majority of her fans are supporting her decision. Now we not only have the masses’ support, our social media accounts are overflowing with followers.”

Isla spoke nonstop, her voice brimming with excitement and anticipation.

Heidi’s happiness was no less. “I was summoned by the police this morning to come and give a statement regarding Lilian’s case.”

“Oh, they also notified the security department that the Finance Department’s Manager has been arrested. I wish I could come with you.” Isla expressed her disappointment by letting out a sigh. “However, Ms. Anderson’s photoshoot is today.”

“Yes. You need to be present. Tell Kate I have an emergency and will join you guys later.”

Isla bid her goodbye.

Heidi took her bag and left the company.

On her way to Phoenix City’s Police Department, John spoke from the driver’s seat. “You are always on the road, Young Miss. Won’t you rather assign people to do the job for you?”

“No can do,” Heidi replied.

“It is very dangerous. Remember that time you got abducted. Fortunately, the Old Master is planning to assign bodyguards for you.”

Hearing that Grandpa Jeffery wanted to hire bodyguards for her, Heidi felt uncomfortable.

“That will be the end of my freedom. Walking around with bodyguards will surely attract attention, and then my life will be in more danger. I hope he doesn’t.”

“You’re so weird,” John said in a helpless tone.

They finally arrived at the Police Department.

Heidi was greeted by the Police Chief who was expecting her arrival. “Ms. Olsen, you have arrived. I have good news. That manager who joined hands with Ms. Lilian Olsen has been arrested after getting her to disclose his whereabouts.”

Isla had told Heidi about it already.

Looking around the unfriendly place, she could hear uncomfortable noises from the cells nearby. “How is Lilian doing?” She asked.

The Police Chief shrugged. “She won’t stop throwing up tantrums. We are doing our best to make sure she doesn’t disturb other inmates.”

“Can I see her?”

“Of course.”

Heidi sat in the waiting room while the Police Chief ordered one of the female police to get Lilian from her cell.

When Lilian was brought in, she looked almost unrecognizable.

Her face was streaked with dried tears. Her hair looked like a bird’s nest, and her unwashed skin had lost all its glow.

Her haggard appearance was a stark contrast to the once haughty and extravagant heiress.

“You- what the hell are you doing here!?” The instant Lilian saw Heidi, she went berserk. “Damnit! I’ll make your life miserable, Heidi. For destroying my image and making me a laughing stock, I’ll make sure you regret ever returning to the family!”

The police held her back, restraining her from attacking Heidi.

Sitting quietly, Heidi watched the out- of-control girl, unfazed.

“You made a wrong move by trying to use StriveStyle Co. to get back at me, Lilian. I struck out your names so you could ponder upon your mistakes and turn a new leaf, not so that you could turn against the brand.”

“If you were in my position, wouldn’t you have done the same thing!?” Lilian spat out. “Wait until I get out of this filthy place, Heidi. I will deal with you!”

Heidi rose to her feet, her lips curling up. “I would never be in your position. Because I would never, for once, think of corrupting a subsidiary of the group Grandpa and Grandma had painstakingly built. Remember that StriveStyle Co.’s failure will affect the AG Group irrevocably.”

“Stop acting as if you’re a saint,” Lilian said scornfully. “Harold Olsen isn’t someone you can trifle easily with. Very soon, you’ll wish you were still with your heartless husband. You won’t find a place to hide your head in the family!”
