Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 83 by HusnaS

83. As Long As Heidi Stays

“Do you think I would lie on her?”

Grandpa Winston answered. “She came here and begged me on her knees to approve of her. When I ordered the servants to throw her out, she pretended to faint.”

“Ha! Grandpa, you’re so cruel.” Heidi slapped the table, laughing hard.

Grandpa Winston laughed along. ” Don’t underestimate me, Heidi. I have the right dose of medicine for those who think they can fool me.”

“Haha, Grandpa-”

“Heidi, enough.” Lucas felt attacked by her ridicule. “It is not funny.”

Heidi pursed her lips and scoffed.

When it involved his mistress, of course, it wouldn’t be funny.

Was Lucas blind to not see that Tracy was leading him by the tail?

“Grandpa, let’s stop speaking about this.” Lucas turned to Grandpa Winston. “If I knew that it was Dad who ordered it, I wouldn’t have agreed to it.”

“But if you weren’t at odds with your father because he asked men to kidnap Heidi, you would have agreed even if you knew it was him, right?”

Hearing Grandpa Winston’s words, Lucas gave Heidi a questioning look.

Heidi parted her lips, shaking her head in reply, also surprised that Grandpa Winston knew about that incident.

“Did you think you could hide it from me for long?” Grandpa Winston studied their interaction. “Heidi, why didn’t you tell Grandpa so he could get justice for you?”

“Grandpa, please don’t worry about it.” Heidi’s wary eyes darted to Lucas. ” Don’t punish Blake because of me. Besides, I wasn’t hurt. Can you please let it go?”

“I was planning to disown him from my family. The Harrisons aren’t as petty as to kidnap a young defenseless girl. He brings shame to us.”

With that said, Grandpa Winston resumed eating his food.

Lucas also continued eating, to Heidi’s bitterness.

If she had the power, she would have snatched the plate from him.

“I never want to see you with that girl again,” Grandpa Winston murmured. ” She’s a bad influence on this family.”

Lucas didn’t say anything.

He finished all the food on his plate and served himself another plate. Heidi was only able to eat a little.

“Grandpa, you woke up early from the coma.”

“That is because the heavens had pity on me and wanted me to save you from destruction.”

His sharp reply was enough to shut Lucas up.

Lucas gave Heidi a secret glare, daring her to laugh even a bit.

Heidi avoided his gaze and helped the maids pack the plates away. When she returned, she met Lucas and Grandpa Winston having a heartfelt conversation in the living room.

Taken aback by the rapid shift in the atmosphere between the grandfather and grandson, Heidi wondered what they were talking about.

“So you must spend the night here and keep me company if you want me to forgive you.”

“Is Heidi also staying?” Lucas felt her presence, and he looked at her.

Baffled at what was going on, Heidi joined them in the living room. “No, I’m not staying,” she answered flatly, not caring about what he might be up to.

Grandpa Winston, who was as well baffled at Lucas’s sudden question, stared between the couple.

Grandpa Winston’s eyes lit up, and he let out a chuckle. “Of course, why not? It is already 1:45 AM. I won’t let Heidi go out at this time of the night. Therefore, she will stay.”

“Grandpa, I can go home.”

“No, silly girl.” Grandpa Winston stood up. “If anything bad happens to you, I will hold myself responsible. I have already experienced enough heartache, please let’s avoid you getting into trouble.”

“But, Grandpa.”

“Alright, I’ll retire to bed. Both of you should sleep early too. Butler Luke, shut those doors so that nobody goes out or comes in.”

Grandpa Winston’s loud command summoned the Butler, and he quickly shut the doors and retired to his quarters.

Heidi stood alone with Lucas in the living room, feeling trapped and angry. She folded her hands, tapping her left foot on the floor. “Lucas Harrison, what was the meaning of that?”
