Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 72 by HusnaS

72. Lucas Harrison Needs To Be Taught A Lesson

Seriously, maybe he was right. Lucas Harrison thought he had this much power over her. He could trample on her as he wished, and still rub it on her face.

Heidi took in a deep breath. Bottling up her anger, she broke out of Lucas’s captive gaze and leaned towards the man beside her.

“Forgive me for what I’ll do next,” she whispered into Steve’s ear. “Lucas Harrison needs to be taught a lesson.”

With that said, Heidi rose to her feet and lowered herself onto Steve’s chair’s armrest, spreading her arm across his shoulders.

If one didn’t look carefully, one would think she was sitting on his lap. Kate and Isla gasped, clearly taken aback by Heidi’s sudden display of brazenness.

“Way to go, Girl!” Kate gave her a thumbs-up. “Don’t give the cheating couple the satisfaction they want.”

Steve laughed in amusement. “I thought you were a shy and docile kitten.”

“A shy kitten turns ferocious when the enemy doesn’t stop biting.” Heidi smiled. “Sorry to take advantage of you, Steve.” 2

In fact, Heidi felt a lot of discomfort doing this, but Lucas wasn’t going to get away with using her and dumping her as he pleased.

A loud crash came from the opposite table, the unpleasant noise disrupting the peaceful air in the restaurant.

“Heidi, how dare you!”

Lucas got up, pushing his chair back. In the process, the spoon in Tracy’s hand flipped over and the food scattered on her dress.

The man’s eyes were crimson with rage, his blazing eyes boring through her.

Heidi ignored him. She dusted an imaginary dust off Steve’s shoulder, saying, “Why don’t we go visit the cinema? I heard a new romance movie is airing later.”

After the loud crash came a deafening silence. The fury burned his eyes, the sight of her sitting on another man’s lap scalding his heart.

Lucas strode forward and towered over them. “Get. Down. Now.” He enunciated each word, his hard glare boring through her.

Heidi’s heart trembled a bit. She controlled herself from shuddering, and she finally paid him attention.

With a gentle smile, she asked, “How may I help you, Mister? Do I know you?”

“I said get up!” Lucas grabbed her up, exerting pressure on her arm. “Aren’t you gutsy, Heidi?”

“Let go of me.” Heidi struggled to free her hand.

Everyone rose to their feet.

Tracy ran over to Lucas, her eyes wide with shock. “Oh my God, Heidi, aren’t you so shameless?” Laughing secretly, she added, “You had the guts to be intimate with another man in front of your ex-husband. Do you think Lucas is petty to fall into your trap?”

“Of course, Lucas is not petty. Then I wonder why he’s suddenly enraged. Isn’t feeding him also an intimate act, Tracy?”

Heidi had her own comeback, and Tracy’s face turned green, pondering on Heidi’s words.

“Just shut up.” Lucas glowered. “Heidi, I know what you’re trying to do.”

“Oh, you do?” Heidi raised a brow. ” Then I guess we’re even now.”

“Mr. Harrison, if I’m not mistaken, you and Heidi are already divorced.” Steve pulled Heidi towards him, his tone calm. “Why do you bother that she’s being intimate with another man?”

Lucas loosened his hold on her. “Say another word, and I’ll cripple you.”

“We are both adults,” Steve said. ” Heidi too… I believe she has the right to interact with whomever she pleases.”

Veins popped up on the man’s neck. Tracy’s heart beat erratically.

Her flabbergasted eyes went from Lucas to Heidi, her mind filled with an excruciating bitterness. “You have gone too far, Heidi. You can’t be this shameless.”

“I’m shameless, yes.” Heidi folded her hands. “But I’m not pretentious, right, Tracy?”

Fed up with the drama, Heidi picked up her bag and turned around. “Guys, let’s get going. Mr. Harrison and Ms. Carlson can have the restaurant all to themselves.”

“Bravo, Girl, you definitely nailed it!” Kate showered her with praise as they left the restaurant. But Heidi’s defiant look was gone. Her shoulders dropped as she sat inside the car.

Staring out of the car’s window, her voice was filled with guilt. “I didn’t mean to take advantage of you, Steve.”

She just couldn’t handle Lucas’s cruelty towards her.

When she’d given him all her heart, what did she get in but return constant resentment and humiliation?

“You don’t have to apologize.” Steve started the car, his eyes gentle. “At least, you got back at them.”

But instead of feeling satisfaction, why did the pain linger?

The acute ache in Heidi’s heart wouldn’t just go away. As if a string had been tied to it, and the string’s other end was in Lucas’s grips.
