Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 68 by HusnaS

68. Spent The Whole Night Thinking About Her

At Heidi’s question, Kate and Isla exchanged glances. Isla wriggled her fingers together, looking nervous. “Please forgive me, Ms. Olsen. I had to tell her everything, otherwise, Ms. Anderson insisted on calling the police. While we’re no match for Lucas Harrison.”

“So you got married before,” Kate exclaimed. “I honestly thought you were a fresh single, Heidi.”

“Ms. Olsen and Mr. Harrison have already separated. But I fear Mr. Harrison doesn’t want to let go of Ms. Olsen yet without giving her troubles,” Isla explained, looking fearful.

She had spent a great deal of time with Heidi, and she’d seen how Zach Olsen had interacted with Heidi like his little sister.

There was no romance between them whatsoever, and the news was revealed at Zach Olsen’s birthday party that Lucas Harrison was Heidi’s ex- husband.

Isla became more curious, wondering why Heidi was never revealed to the public as a member of the Olsen Household.

Everyone in Phoenix City knew each family member of the Olsens Household. Although their glory was slowly declining due to the AG Group’s scandal, they still called the shots like other powerful families.

“Let’s all forget about that.” Heidi didn’t want to think about that heartless man, suppressing the urge to cry for being such a fool.

She also didn’t want to spend another day in this city, knowing that Lucas was definitely stalking her. So she decided to finish the business that brought her.

“Kate, you know why we’re here. Can you please consider working with StriveStyle Co.? I know it’s sudden, but I won’t hide anything from you. Your participation in regaining the brand’s glory is of immense importance.”

Kate sighed, and took Heidi’s hands, clearly wanting to avoid the topic again. “We’re having fun, Heidi. Why did you bring that up?”

Isla’s expression paled, thinking Kate Anderson would never be willing. Heidi’s gloom returned tenfold.

“Girls, come on, cheer up!” Kate clapped her hands. “Remember we have to go sightseeing later. Before my manager catches us, let’s have fun like never before.”

“Excuse me, Young Ladies. Who cares for a box of Pizza?”

A male voice came from the entrance. Steve appeared, holding several boxes of Pizza.

The atmosphere became lively, and the three ladies surrounded him.

“Oh, you’re a lifesaver, Bro.”

“I’ve forgotten we haven’t taken breakfast yet.”

“Steve, you’re so kind.”

Steve gave them each a box, his gentle smile contagious. “This one’s for you, Heidi. I made sure they added peppered chicken to it.”

They all sat on the dining table, unboxing the pizza.

“It has been many years, Steve. You still can recall.”

After eating two slices, Heidi’s mood was greatly uplifted.

Steve smiled through his eyes, staring at her intently. “I never forgot a single thing about you, Heidi.”

It was as if the words came right out of his heart. His tone was devoid of playfulness, while his smile widened.

“Ha-Aha!” Kate choked on her pizza, coughing and patting her chest.

Heidi bit her lips, looking away in embarrassment. “I’ll- I’ll go wash up.” Standing up, she hurried inside the living room.

“Come on, Bro. Are you planning on scaring Heidi away?” Kate exclaimed. ” Don’t you know the effect those words have on ladies?”

“Silly head, is it wrong to fall in love at first sight?” Steve’s tone was soft, and his eyes were glued to the bedroom door.

Kate coughed once again, looking as if she’d swallowed a fish’s bone. “Bloody hell! Since when did you become this bold? Stop ruining my appetite. You are not serious about Heidi, are you? You only just met yesterday.”

“Ms. Anderson, I think it’s possible to fall in love at first sight,” Isla murmured, fiddling with her fingers. ” Or maybe just having a crush on somebody.”

“It’s not a crush, Isla.” Steve shook his head, chuckling. “Kate, what is inside your brain? Did I meet Heidi just yesterday or many years back?”

“Bro, I think you’re out of your mind.” Kate shook her head in disbelief.

The always reserved man now looked like a puppy madly in love. He was pulling their legs, right?

Steve sighed, nodding to Kate’s words, the smile lingering on his lips. Maybe he was really out of his mind.

Otherwise, why would he spend the whole night awake, thinking about her?
