Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 59 by HusnaS

59. A Fire Is About To Break Out

“Why does Heidi seem to be in a bad mood, Grandpa?” Zach approached Grandpa Jeffrey, his eyes fixed upstairs.

“How should I know?” Grandpa Jeffery sighed. “It’s as if she doesn’t want to talk. Well, the best thing is that she’s back safe and sound.”

“Damnit!” Zach shook his fist. “I’m going to make Lucas Harrison pay for this.”

“Be quiet!” Harold stood up. “If you can’t do anything to save AG Group, stop finding ways to bring it down. You’ve already made the GK Group our enemy, will you not rest until they completely crush AG Group?”

“Dad, I told you to let Heidi join AG Group as its CEO,” Zach exclaimed. “To hell with GK Group, who said we’re afraid of them?”

“I’ve heard news that she can’t even manage that small brand well. Is it the whole AG Group she can manage?”

Harold hollered then said to Grandpa Jeffrey. “Dad, can you please put an end to Heidi’s craziness?”

“Grandpa, Heidi’s only gonna cause more trouble. Please allow us to take our positions back,” Aiden pleaded.

“If you want to get back your position, you’ll need to turn a new leaf! And don’t lose hope yet, Harold. Let’s see how Heidi is going to turn things around.”

Grandpa Jeffery wasn’t that hopeful. Yes, Heidi was very talented. But her talents must have diminished rapidly after spending years with her bully Ex-husband, right?

The good thing was that Heidi wasn’t as corrupt as his other grandchildren.

Seeing the Old Man siding with Heidi again, Harold looked mad and he wanted to retort-

“Dad, Grandpa is right.” Lilian smiled and stood up. “Why don’t we just wait and see how she’s gonna turn things around? Besides, the time frame you set up for Heidi is almost ending. We’ll surely have fun seeing her downfall soon.”

After washing up and changing into a new set of clothes, Heidi sat on the bed and held her wounded arm.

Her mind went back to Lucas’s promise, and she spaced out for a few seconds.

How could she believe him? Lucas had never shown any care towards her. He wouldn’t take any action against the bodyguards, right?

Heidi would just let it slide because of Grandpa Winston.

Why did she care if Lucas took any action or not?

Shoving those thoughts aside, she picked up her second phone and dialed Isla’s number.

“Where have you been, Ms. Olsen? I’ve been trying your number but it always went to voicemail. Are you alright? You promised to return to the company but you didn’t. Ms. Olsen, something came up. Are you aware of it already? Is that why you didn’t appear in the company?”

“What’s wrong, Isla?” Sensing Isla’s frantic tone, Heidi was afraid something big had happened.

“You have to come see for yourself, Ms. Olsen. A fire is about to break out at StriveStyle Co.”

Heidi was already on her feet, picking up a random bag and grabbing a shawl from her closet.

Wrapping it around her neck which had some glaring scratch marks, she wore a big jacket and slipped on her shoes.

“Heidi, where are you off to?”

She bumped into her mother on the stairs.

Regina was on her way to Heidi’s room, not expecting to suddenly see her.

“An emergency at StriveStyle Co. I’ll be back soon, Mum.”

“Come Back!”

Regina’s command fell on deaf ears. Heidi was already out of sight. There was commotion in the living room as Grandpa Jeffery scolded Harold and his family.

Suddenly, Heidi ran past like a flash.

Everyone was stunned and silent.

“Is she crazy?” Aiden said.

“The kidnappers must have hit her on the head.” Lilian shook her head. “I think Heidi’s out of her mind.”

Grandpa Jeffrey was the most shocked.

His hands fiddled with his phone as he dialed Zach who had already left. ”

Heidi just ran out of the house, you have to restrain her. Make sure she comes back safe.”

From the other end, Zach furrowed his brows in confusion. He quickly changed his mind about having another confrontation with Lucas Harrison, then he took a reverse and drove back to the residential area.

As he was driving at a high speed, his car almost hit a girl who was trying to stop a taxi.
