58. He Will Marry Tracy
As Lucas’s car drove out of the mansion, a familiar blue car was driving in.
Lucas’s eyes turned cold. He pressed the brakes and left his car. Blake, who had also sighted him, jumped out of his car with Stella following behind.
“Why did you fire all the bodyguards, Lucas? Do you know what you’re doing?” Blake demanded loudly.
Looking unfazed, Lucas replied, “I have told you: If you didn’t bring Heidi out, you’d all have it coming.”
“Lucas Harrison, what is so special about that girl? Don’t you dare to overstep your boundaries.”
“The matters between Heidi and I are not for you to interfere in. She was my wife, right?”
“You!”
Stella stepped between the father and son, trying to pacify the situation. ”
Please don’t fight, Guys. Yes, Blake got that heirloom for me. Am I not its rightful owner in the first place? Heidi was your wife, you’re right. But she’s no longer a part of this family. Why would your grandfather be so selfish?”
“Whether it should belong to you or not doesn’t concern me. Dad, Stella, leave her alone.”
Lucas walked back into his car, leaving the couple flabbergasted.
As his car zoomed past, Stella couldn’t close her mouth.
“H-Honey.” She faced Blake. “That girl has completely corrupted your son.
Heidi doesn’t want to let go of him. I fear he might decide not to marry Tracy.”
“My son has never talked back at me.” Blake’s anger was evident. “No matter what happens, I won’t let him end up with that girl again.”
“What should we do now, Honey? We can’t let Lucas completely fall on Dad’s and Heidi’s side. Once he does, there will be no place for us in this family.”
“He will marry Tracy,” Blake said firmly, looking confident in his words. ” Very soon.”
At The Olsens Mansion.
The family members were all gathered in the living room, while Grandpa Jeffery was pacing back and forth.
“What happened to my precious Heidi? I thought she had had enough of going missing. Zach, have you not found the kidnappers who took her?”
“No one has called yet to demand a ransom,” Zach mumbled. “Grandpa, people rarely know that Heidi belongs to this family so why would she be kidnapped? I have a feeling that it is that her scumbag ex-husband’s doing.”
“Then I’ll match up to the Harrisons and demand an explanation.” Grandpa Jeffrey picked up his cane. “Heidi has only been kidnapped several times while she was young, and I made sure those people didn’t continue living. I don’t think any outsider is left who knows Heidi’s real identity. Then it must be that boy who loves torturing my granddaughter.”
“Heidi deserves it,” Lilian rolled her eyes and murmured. “Isn’t that the consequence of chasing after one- sided love?”
Aiden was busy playing games with his phone while Natalie had on big earphones, listening to music.
“You silly children. Don’t you care that your cousin has gone missing?”
“Dad, we’re not even sure if she has really been kidnapped,” Beatrice spoke. “Why call this meeting when we can be dealing with other problems?”
Harold nodded. “For me, this meeting is useless. We should be discussing ways to keep AG Group back on its feet ”
The large doors suddenly opened, and an almost unrecognizable girl walked in.
Her dress was stained with blood and her arm was wrapped with a deep gauze. Everyone was shocked at her dusty appearance.
It was as if she’d bathed in sand.
“H-Heidi, what happened to you?” Zach was the first to break out of his shock.
“Let me guess.” Regina stepped forward, holding her shoulders and checking her out. “You fought your kidnappers again, didn’t you?”
Grandpa Jeffery dropped his cane and rushed over, embracing her. “Heidi, what happened to you? What have those people done to you? Your arm is wounded and you’re looking like this- tell me who did this to you.”
Aiden dropped his phone, and both he and Lilian looked greatly disappointed.
“Why did you come back so soon, Heidi? Last time, the kidnappers kept you for a week.”
“And the previous times you spent more than one month before they released you.”
“You- I’ll beat you all up if you don’t shut up,” Grandpa Jeffrey scolded. He turned to Heidi, “Did those evil people hurt you like this? Grandpa will get justice for you, but first, let’s go to the hospital.”
Heidi looked weak and tired. “Grandpa, I’m alright. Thank you for your care, Everyone. I’d like to go upstairs and have some rest.”
Holding her bandaged arm, Heidi turned to the stairs and walked away, leaving everyone baffled.
