Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 49 by HusnaS

49. Heidi Is Missing

At The Olsens Mansion.

While the family ate dinner, Grandpa Jeffery couldn’t touch his food. His face wrinkled with worry and this nagging feeling inside his chest wouldn’t go away.

“Why hasn’t Heidi returned yet?” Grandpa Jeffery glanced at the clock. ” She doesn’t usually stay outside this late.”

“Who knows? Maybe she’s wandered off somewhere, and-”

Grandpa Jeffery shut Lilian up with a glare. Bringing out his phone, he dialed a number, “Where is Heidi, John? Why haven’t you guys returned yet?”

“Uhm, Master.” As if he had been lurking outside, John immediately walked in and appeared before everyone.

“You! You’re already back?” Grandpa Jeffery frowned. “Where is Heidi?”

“Erm, Master… The Young Miss…”

“Speak properly!” Grandpa Jeffery snapped.

John hung his head and explained with guilt. “I- I waited for a long time outside the company, but she didn’t come out. When I went inside, her assistant told me she left in the morning and hadn’t returned since then.”

“Where were you when she left in the morning? Didn’t I ask you to keep an eye on Heidi?”

“Please forgive me, Master.”

“If Heidi doesn’t return safe and sound, you’ll lose your job.”

After sending the driver away, Grandpa Jeffrey got up to his feet and walked back and forth.

“Grandpa, I heard Heidi is still chasing after her Ex-husband. She’s probably following him around, throwing herself at him.”

“Lilian, do you want me to teach you a lesson?” Grandpa Jeffery gave her a pointed look. “Speak any bad words about Heidi again, and I’ll send you to jail for having illegal collaborations at the company.”

“Dad, Lilian’s only telling the truth,” Beatrice murmured. “Do you all believe that Heidi is over her Ex-husband? I don’t think she is done shaming this family yet.”

“Isn’t looting money from the family’s company considered a shameless act too?” Regina murmured. “Clearly, Lilian and Aiden are no better.”

Beatrice rolled her eyes. “Well, that definitely isn’t worse than raising a daughter who only knows how to cause trouble, Regina.”

“Everyone, be quiet!” Grandpa Jeffery hollered, glaring at both women. He grabbed his phone and dialed Heidi’s number, but only an electronic voice came from the other end.

“Heidi’s number is not reachable. Let’s see if she’s hanging out with her silly cousin, Zach, again.”

After saying that, he dialed Zach who answered at the first ring.

“Grandpa, your favorite boy is busy. I can’t talk on the phone now, shoot me a message if it’s important-”

“Shut up, scoundrel!” Grandpa Jeffery berated. “Have you seen Heidi?”

“No, Grandpa? Why did you ask?” From the other end, Zach’s brows furrowed.

Grandpa Jeffrey replied, “Heidi doesn’t hang out with many people apart from you. Are you sure she’s not in your place? You didn’t leave her stranded at a bar, right?”

“Come on, Grandpa. What’s wrong? Do you mean Heidi is missing?” Zach’s whining voice was filled with anxiousness.

Grandpa Jeffrey blinked. “Wait, Heidi is missing?”

A realization sank in and the phone dropped from his hand.

“Grandpa.”

“Grandpa, are you still there?”

From the other end, Zach called out constantly. Hearing no reply from Grandpa Jeffrey, he scrambled off his bed, pushing the lady aside.

She dropped on the floor with a plop and her face was masked with shock. ” Zach, what’s wrong?”

“Emergency.” Slipping on his clothes, Zach rushed towards the door, but she blocked him.

“Come on, Zach. Is that thing so important to interrupt our precious moment?”

“Damnit! Get out.” Zach pushed her aside, grabbed his car keys, and hurried down to the parking lot.

He jumped inside his car and raced out of his Villa, heading downtown.

At the same time his car stopped at GK Group, a familiar-looking car was also driving out of it.

Zach’s car came to a screeching halt in front of the car, blocking it from driving forward.

“Are you tired of living?” Lucas left his car, wondering who the reckless driver was.

On seeing Zach Olsen, his expression darkened.

“Maybe you are tired of living, Lucas Harrison. What did you do to Heidi?” Zach jumped out of his car and didn’t waste time to grab his collar.

“Damnit, I only give you two seconds. Wherever you’re hiding her, you’d better bring her out.”

“Unhand me this instant.” Lucas clenched his fists.

“Ha! You wish!”
