Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 46 by HusnaS

46. Abort That Plan

His demeanor shifted.

Stiffening for a while, he looked sideways at her, his eyes filled with confusion, anger, as well as disbelief.

“Fine. Don’t be late.”

“I won’t.” Heidi walked past him, not glancing back for once, The tension inside the room was impalpable. Lucas’s dark eyes were glued to her back.

For a long time, he stood there. Even after her figure had disappeared out of the mansion, he didn’t move as if in a daze.

Blake Harrison stood on the balcony of his room, his eyes fixed on his wristwatch.

Not long after, one of the bodyguards appeared.

“Where is she?” Blake’s low voice was filled with impatience.

The bodyguard hung his head. “I apologize. I wasn’t able to capture her, Master.”

“What did you say!?” Blake snapped. ” That girl was in this mansion, right under your nose. How did you not seize the opportunity?”

“It’s the Young Master. He was with her. While she left, the Young Master was watching her, so we couldn’t do anything.”

Hearing the bodyguard’s explanation only worsened his mood.

“Lucas again,” Blake grumbled. “I give you twenty-four hours. If you don’t bring her to me, you will all lose your job!”

“Honey, why are you so mad?”

The bodyguard left and Stella appeared.

She stared at Blake worriedly, then sighed. “It’s Heidi again, right? Lucas is still following her.”

“I don’t want to hear her name.” Blake was trembling with rage.

Stella put on a sad look, saying softly, ” Hey, Honey… Don’t let her bother you. Once you put that filthy girl in her place, she will know never to trifle with us again.”

“Just go to bed. I want some fresh air.”

There was no doubt that Blake Harrison was beyond himself tonight, after what had happened at the party.

Stella let go of his arm, her lips curling secretly.

She went back to the bedroom and heard noises coming from the outside. Going downstairs, Stella found Tracy speaking with a maid.

“Stella, I heard what happened.” Tracy walked forward, looking confused. ” Did Heidi really make Grandpa Winston shame you and Blake in public?”

Stella’s expression turned green. “So the news is already traveling around.”

“I overheard some servants talking about it,” Tracy explained. “Isn’t she gutsy?”

“Oh, Heidi sure is gutsy.” Stella chuckled darkly. “While you are not doing your job, Tracy. What if I told you that Lucas helped her out?”

“Huh?”

“Where exactly is Lucas now, Tracy? Do you know?” Stella raised an inquisitive brow.

Tracy shook her head in confusion. She was on her way to look for Lucas when she overheard the servants gossiping.

“Do you know where he is?”

“Of course. He’s keeping guard of Heidi. That’s why Blake’s men couldn’t capture her.”

“Damnit! Heidi.” Tracy gritted her teeth. “Don’t worry, I’m sure she won’t survive for long.”

“Do you have any plans in mind?” Stella was intrigued.

“Heidi will be dead shortly. Very soon, someone will get rid of her,” Tracy affirmed. Stella gasped when she heard that. Quickly, she pulled Tracy to a corner. ” When did you plan that?”

Tracy didn’t think twice and she revealed all her plans to Stella.

“Are you crazy?” Stella whispered. “If you kill her, Lucas might suspect us. I have a feeling that he’s keeping his eyes on Heidi.”

Most especially, Lucas might suspect her, Stella.

“Abort that plan. We must tread carefully.”

“But Heidi won’t leave us alone, will she?” Tracy whispered back. “Isn’t that the best way to deal with her?”

“Blake has taken the matter into his hands. Very soon, Heidi will no longer be our problem.”

Tracy’s expression relaxed after hearing Stella’s assurance.

If Heidi got into Blake’s blacklist, not even Lucas or Grandpa Winston could save her. After hearing about what happened at the party, Tracy never thought that it was Lucas who helped her out.

Hadn’t Lucas been displeased when Grandpa Winston gave Heidi that jewelry?

Tracy bid Stella goodnight, and she went ahead to continue searching for Lucas.

Very soon, she arrived at Grandpa Winston’s quarters. Lucas was standing by the doorway, staring into the distance as if under a spell.

In his hand was a cigarette stick which was burning rapidly.

“Oh, Lucas.” Tracy quickly tossed the cigarette away before it scalded the man’s fingers. “What is occupying your thoughts?”

She blew onto his fingers, putting on a worried look.

Lucas snapped out of his daze. “When did you get here? I told you to stay in my room.”

“I… uhm.” Tracy tucked her hair aside. “I was so lonely and was wondering why you’re taking so long.”
