Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 37 by HusnaS

37. Offended Someone

Tracy read the message on her phone, wondering what Stella was up to. Then a thought came to her mind – Ha! She didn’t waste time to phone Todd.

The man sounded anxious when he answered the phone. “What’s up? I’m already at Rosehills Hotel, is she coming or what?”

“Hehe, Todd…” Tracy spent a long time speaking with the man and getting him to vent out all his frustration.

The moment they were done speaking, she saved the recording and sent it to Stella.

In the middle of the night, Lucas’s phone beeped.

He picked it up and sat on the bed, staring at the private number.

[Mr. Harrison, this is for your good. You have to listen to it.]

A text message accompanied the voice note.

Lucas frowned before tapping on the play button. Instantly, the dimly lit bedroom was filled with all sorts of repulsive noises.

In the deafening silence, those voices echoed.

“Ah, Todd! You’re the best!”

“Yes, Please! Faster.”

“Hehe, you seem to be enjoying this more than I, Heidi-”

“Why not? Lucas isn’t half as big as you are. Damn! You’re so good! Where have you been all my life?”

“Heidi, tell me the truth.”

“Why should I lie? Lucas is incapacitated in every way. Do you know that man is an imbecile? He can’t even perform well in the bedroom-”

Lucas cut the recording, the sleep long gone from his eyes.

The man’s expression frosted, and even the handphone in his hand seemed to freeze.

“Heidi, how dare you!”

A text notification popped up seconds later.

[Mr. Harrison, she is lusting after strange men and destroying your reputation. If you don’t finalize the divorce and release her once and for all, don’t you think she’ll do worse?]

The number was hidden, and Lucas wondered who it was.

Still, his mind was on that voice note. And he wondered if he should turn down the whole city to find Heidi and teach her a lesson.

Lucas spent the whole night thinking about the voice note without catching a wink of sleep.

So many thoughts raced inside his mind, each of those voices replaying.

In the wee hours of the morning, the man had already calmed down. A subtle smile also formed on his lips as a dangerous glint flashed in his eyes.

‘Who do they think they can fool?’

Heidi seemed to have offended someone to want to destroy her this way.

He and Heidi had never had any intimate encounter. Why was it that that voice said the exact opposite things Heidi would say?

His mind raced to Heidi’s accusation at Zach Olsen’s birthday party.

Lucas scoffed as he sat in the dining table, waiting for breakfast.

Seemed he’d gotten a clue which he didn’t even look for.

Voice cloning.

He forwarded the voice recording to a staff in the tech department, with one instruction. [Decipher it.]

“Good morning, Young Master.”

The maid arranged the breakfast in front of him, stealing glances at the dark circles underneath the man’s eyes.

Lucas grabbed a spoon and fork and tasted the bacon. His face turned sour and all the bottled-up emotions since last night exploded.

“Did you lose your ability to cook? Why are you feeding me bland food today!”

Trembling, the maid replied, “This is actually my first time cooking, Young Master. Madam has always been the one cooking the food.”

“You mean Heidi!”

“Y-Yes.” The maid bobbed her head.

Lucas pursed his lips and grumbled some words under his breath. “Just make me coffee.”

Moments later, the maid returned with a sizzling cup of coffee, almost spilling it on the man as her hands trembled.

Lucas spat it out and growled, “Do you even know how to make anything?”

“Young Master!” The maid went down on her knees, wailing! “A-Actually, my job isn’t cooking but cleaning. Since I started working here three years ago, Madam has been the one cooking. Th- This… This is my first time.”
