Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 22 by HusnaS

22. Bury The Hatchet

At LuxVille Residential Area, The Next Day.

The Villa glowed with lights, balloons, ribbons, and red flowers hanging on every decoration.

Soft melodious music was playing in the open space, and waiters and waitresses walked among the guests, holding raised trays containing wines.

On a huge table was a mountain of pastries, and standing by it was the ‘ birthday boy’.

Dressed in a striking pink tuxedo, he stood out among the crowd like a daisy among a sea of black roses.

As Zach munched on the cupcake in his hand, he couldn’t help but frown.

More cars streamed into the Villa and many more guests arrived.

Bringing out his phone, he dialed Heidi’s number. With a mischievous smile on his face, he said, “Didn’t you receive my present, Princess? The party’s starting but the guest of honor hasn’t arrived. When are you gonna come?”

Strangely, Heidi was silent from the other end.

“Urgh, come on, Heidi.” Zach took it as a sign that she wasn’t gonna come, and he groaned. “Don’t you wanna rub it on that jerk’s face that you’ve moved on for good? Guess what, he’s coming with his mistress.”

At GK Group.

“I’m not going.” Lucas’s deep voice, accompanied by the suppressing air surrounding him made Amanda shudder.

She gulped and stammered, “Mr. Harrison, Zach Olsen asked me to extend the invitation to you himself. Can you please consider it? This may be Mr. Olsen’s way of proposing a reconciliation between both groups.”

GK Group and AG Group could do without each other.

However, having the most powerful men in the city fighting would cost a lot of resources.

Although Zach Olsen seemed to have something going on with Lucas Harrison’s wife, that shouldn’t be enough for both men to declare war among themselves.

Wasn’t such things normal in the socialites’ circle?

“Get out!” Lucas chased Amanda away, his anger heightening at the mention of Zach’s name.

His cold eyes glared at her, and Amanda didn’t waste another second in the office.

“Lucas, oh you’re still here.” Not long after Amanda left, Tracy arrived.

Dressed in a tight-fitting silver short dress, her long heels clicked on the floor and a gentle smile formed on her face.

Standing in front of Lucas, she leaned forward, wanting to peck him on the lips. But the man averted his face and her kiss ended up on his cheek.

A fleeting gloom flashed in her eyes, then she laughed softly. “Amanda told me that you’re reluctant to attend the party. Why not, Lucas? Is it because Zach Olsen bullied me the other day?”

Convincing herself that it was the reason why, Tracy put on an amiable expression and laughed. “Honestly, I don’t mind. Zach Olsen might have been brainwashed by Heidi, labeling me as a bad person when I only meant good.”

“Lucas…” she held his arm gently. ”

Please let’s attend the party, for my sake. Zach Olsen is personally extending a peaceful gesture. Can you please not give him a hard time? Will you let Heidi come between you and your most powerful ally?”

Tracy’s soft honeyed words entered straight into the man’s heart.

Lucas’s expression shifted and his once clenched fists relaxed. “Let’s go.” He stood up and grabbed his car keys.

Tracy smiled and followed him out of the office.

On their way to the parking lot, her phone rang and she answered it secretly.

“Ms. Carlson, bad news. We were able to retrieve the jewelry, but I couldn’t carry out the other mission.”

“What do you mean?” Tracy’s eyes darkened.

“She was as fast as the wind, I spent the whole night searching every alley in NightBay Street until I returned to where her car stood and found it gone Tracy’s expression turned bitter. She lifted her head and found Lucas staring at her from his car.

Her smile returned and she cleared her throat, saying to the guy, “I’m busy at the moment. Can we speak later?”

From the other end, the guy was confused at her calmness.

Tracy hung up before he could say any word, and she sauntered towards Lucas, locking her arm with his.

“It was a friend from abroad. She just wanted to check if I’m doing well.”

“Mm.” Lucas gave a curt nod.

When they arrived at LuxVille Residential Area, the Paparazzi swarmed around the car, recognizing it instantly.

“Isn’t this Mr. Harrison?”

“Mr. Harrison is actually at Mr. Olsen’s birthday party, is this a sign that both parties are about to bury the hatchet?”

“Mr. Harrison, you came with Ms. Carlson too. This is the second occasion you appeared in public with her, is it true that your wedding is near?”

Tracy’s eyes turned into two crescents and she smiled bashfully.

She opened her mouth to speak, but something else had already caught the paparazzi’s eyes.

“Who is that gorgeous lady over there?”
