142. The Lunatic
Now staring at his face, Heidi found it familiar and a chilling coldness glinted in her eyes. “What do you want?”
“You.” His eyes raked over her body, and he grinned like a psychopath.
Heidi almost belched at his words, repulsed and irritated. “Mister, we’ve never known each other before. Respect yourself and get the hell out of my sight!”
“The more you speak, the more I want you, Heidi. You don’t know me well, do you? If you did, you would have begged me to take you-”
“Back off!” Heidi’s palm flew to his cheek, the slapping sound echoing in the washroom. “Get out before summon the security.”
Todd rubbed his cheek, the sinister look in his eyes increasing. “This is the second time your precious hand has graced my cheek, Candy. I hope the third time it does, we’ll be in a different situation.”
“Pervert! Stay away from me!” Heidi’s yell was deafened by the loud music coming from downstairs.
Todd grabbed her, covering her mouth to stop her from yelling further.
Her strength unmatched his, and Heidi struggled fruitlessly, her screams of help muffled behind his palm.
“Now that’s much better,” Todd whispered in her ear. “I must have done a great deed by bumping into you tonight. How about we realize that voice note here in the washroom?”
Anxiety gripped Heidi’s heart. She threw a back kick, aiming for his sensitive spot.
“Easy there.” He grabbed her knee. ” This isn’t a suitable location, I guess. We should go somewhere more private.”
In the next second, Heidi didn’t know what happened next. Something hit the back of her neck, her vision blurred before turning dark, and she slipped into unconsciousness.
Heidi woke up to the sound of soft music playing in the background.
Her head pounding as if thousands of hammers were being used to hit it, she gripped her forehead, sitting up on the huge mattress underneath her.
Where was she?
Inside the dimly lit room, there was not much to see except for the blurry silhouette of the long curtains shielding the large windows.
The sound of cars honking from a distance drifted to her ears, an indication of tight traffic.
As if she was on the top of a tall building, the indistinct noises seemed to be coming from the ground.
Minutes trickled by, Heidi was stunned, lost at what she was doing in this kind of place.
The acute pain in her stomach sent all the memories rushing back.
The bar’s washroom, that lunatic man, and his open advances.
Heidi gasped, her heart thumping.
She scurried down the bed, checking out her body, and panicking. Finding herself intact, her anxiety eased down, relief washing over her.
Her eyes darted across the room, falling on her shoes that lay in a corner.
She reached for them and slipped them on, ready to flee the room.
“Not so fast, Candy.” The bathroom door opened, and that lunatic man came out, a white towel hanging loosely around his waist.
He waved a pair of keys in front of her, grinning. “Why attempt to spoil the mood when I’ve been eagerly anticipating you to wake up? It won’t be fun while you lay dormant, right?”
“What do you want?” Heidi’s heart beat uncomfortably, icy eyes glaring at the man.
“You.” He jutted his lips out, gesturing towards her, giving the same repulsive reply. “Now don’t give us a hard time. Let’s get this done with as soon as possible.”
Seeing him approaching, Heidi darted for the door, pulling it with all her might.
The door didn’t budge.
She grabbed a flower vase.
“Don’t you dare come near me!” she warned, cautiously stepping aside. “If you touch a strand of hair in my body, I swear you’ll regret it.”
“What will you possibly do to me, Bunny?” Todd laughed, almost sarcastically. “A powerful man like me and a weak defenseless girl, who is going to be victorious?”
“Now stop acting tough,” he went on. ” I know you want it, don’t you? Hasn’t your friend told you how great I am?”
Heidi threw the vase forward, aiming to knock him out. But Todd swiftly sidestepped, the flower vase ending up smashing into the wall.
