119. Her Mission
Stella clicked her tongue, staring at her phone. “Tsk, Heidi. It seems I have underestimated you.”
She clicked on an audio recording on her phone, playing Lucas’s conversation with his father.
Then she forwarded it to Tracy, accompanying it with a text message. [ Why are you so useless? Will you not do anything until Lucas Harrison reunites with Heidi? Tracy, have you forgotten your mission?]
When Tracy saw Stella’s message, she neither looked shocked nor angry as if she’d seen it coming.
She sent a reply, [It’s so difficult to kill. her, Stella. Don’t worry though, very soon Heidi will no longer be our problem. I have a new plan.]
Tracy didn’t drop her phone and she dialed a number.
“What is it?” From the other end, the male voice sounded irritated.
Tracy smiled. “Oh, don’t hold a grudge against me because I’m Heidi’s enemy. Steve Anderson, Remember we’ll both benefit from this cooperation.”
“Tell me what you want.” Steve sounded doubtful.
“Well, aren’t you desperate to have Heidi accept you?” Tracy chuckled. ” Most women are full of themselves, but once you show them how good you are in the bedroom-”
“Don’t even think about it.” Steve cut her off. “My feelings for Heidi is pure.”
“Is that so?” Tracy laughed mockingly. “Don’t you find Heidi attractive? Of course, she’s beautiful. You can’t deny that you’ve never fantasized about her in your wildest dreams before.”
“Steve Anderson, don’t worry,” Tracy went on. “I have a master plan to make Heidi come to you willingly.”
At The Olsens Mansion, The Next Day.
Heidi sat beside Grandpa Jeffery who was sitting on his chair.
Harold Olsen and his family were sitting on a long couch, and Regina and Caleb sat on the same couch.
“This family isn’t complete. Where is that silly boy, Zach?” Grandpa Jeffery asked. “We can’t have the family meeting without him. He is also the President of the Group so he must be present.”
“Dad, I don’t know where he is,” Harold replied. “I haven’t heard from him since he left the company yesterday with Heidi.”
“Oh, I got a call from him,” Beatrice added. “Zach told me he is out of the country.”
“Is that so, Heidi? Did Zach tell you he was traveling out?” Grandpa Jeffery said to confirm if Beatrice was telling the truth and not covering up for her son.
Heidi nodded, lowering her gaze to hide her guilt.
Zach didn’t want anyone to know he was hospitalized because of Lucas Harrison, knowing that it would implicate Heidi.
Satisfied with Heidi’s response, Grandpa Jeffery turned to Harold. ”
Now I’m back to you. Harold, why did you snatch Heidi’s position and give it to Natalie?”
“I’m not the one to be blamed, Dad,” Harold defended. “It is the board of * directors’ fault. It’s not my fault that they prefer Natalie.”
“Both you and the board of directors are corrupt!” Grandpa Jeffery hollered. “Harold Olsen, I called this meeting to let you know that you must return Heidi’s position to her. You can’t be unjust.”
“Grandpa, am I not also your granddaughter? Why are you defending Heidi?” Natalie butted in, looking sad.
“You are my granddaughter, of course, and I adore you all,” Grandpa Jeffery replied. “But remember Heidi is older than you. Apart from that, she worked hard for this position. Don’t you think that it is unfair that they conspired and made you the CEO instead of her?”
Grandpa Jeffery spoke to her as if he was speaking to a child, hoping to instill some wisdom in her. Because it turned out Harold Olsen was keen on corrupting his grandchildren.
He didn’t scold Lilian and Aiden when they looted money, and he colluded with the board of directors to bully Heidi.
“Now tell me if Heidi deserves that position or not,” he asked Natalie, who wasn’t as loud as her siblings and seemed to be less involved in their tantrums.
