113. All Hell Would Break Loose
“I should be happy for Natalie, of course,” Zach replied. “But not with the knowledge that Harold Olsen is pushing all his children to their doom… Dad knew that I couldn’t manage the position of the president, but he forced me. Now see what has become of AG Group.”
“You will make a great president if only you become a little more focused,” Heidi assured him.
“I doubt that,” Zach grumbled. “I didn’t want to become the Group’s president in the first place. My dream is to fly around the globe and have fun just like Uncle Caleb.”
They were so engrossed in the conversation that Heidi didn’t focus on the road or notice that Zach was driving in a different direction.
He pulled over in front of Skyline Bar and Heidi gave him a hard look.
Zach chuckled. “I know you’re in a bad mood, Heidi. What better way to let the steam off than by drowning in a nice chilly bear?”
Frustrated by all that had been happening lately, Heidi didn’t think it was a bad idea.
Zach left the car and held the door open for her.
“Just make sure I don’t make a fool out of myself, later.”
“I’m at your disposal, Princess.” He gave her a curtsied bow before leading her inside.
The moment their figures disappeared inside the Skyline Bar, Lucas stepped out of his car, removing his shades.
Veins popped up on his neck and his fisted hand shook.
Lucas had secretly followed her from the moment she left GK Group.
He had been mad when the taxi took her to AG Group, but not as mad as he’d been when Zach Olsen drove her out of the company.
Definitely not as mad as he was right now, seeing Zach Olsen leading her inside a bar.
Inside The Bar.
Heidi sat inside a private booth with Zach while he ordered many bottles of beer.
She gulped down a whole glass of beer and cringed. “Urgh, it’s gonna be so embarrassing getting drunk in the daylight.”
“Believe me, Heidi. It’s not as embarrassing as getting drunk in the night and falling into a gutter.”
Heidi laughed at his joke, downing more bottles of the beer.
Zach drank his own beer, watching her with amusement in his eyes. “Have you been drinking behind my back? You seem to be doing a good job holding your liquor.”
But Zach spoke too soon, not realizing that the silent girl was already drunk.
He only noticed it when her eyelids got heavy and her cheeks turned red. Suddenly, Heidi slumped on the couch and fell into a deep sleep.
“Come on!” Zach groaned, exclaiming. “I already got my phone’s camera ready. Heidi, aren’t you heartless?”
He stood up and removed his jacket.
A staff member appeared out of nowhere and assessed the situation inside the booth. “Mr. Olsen, would you need anything?”
Knowing that Heidi was going to sleep for a long time, Zach answered him, ” We’re gonna take the booth for the whole day. Get me some blankets.”
“Right away, Mr. Olsen,” the staff said respectfully, his eyes darting towards the sleeping lady.
After leaving the booth, he carefully closed the door and turned around, and came face to face with dangerous dark eyes.
“What are they doing inside?” Lucas asked.
The staff’s eyes darted around cautiously then he whispered, “The lady was lying on the couch and Zach Olsen asked for blankets to spend the whole day and night here.”
“Is that so?” Lucas’s voice was oddly low, but his dangerous tone made the staff want to pee in his pants.
“Y-Yes. You can go inside and see it for yourself, Mr. Harrison,” the staff stammered and scurried away.
Lucas’s hard glare bore through the booth’s door.
God helped him.
Zach Olsen was in great trouble. If he didn’t kill him today, then all hell would break loose.
